Maidenhead Waterways Adventure Tour

The Maidenhead Waterways Adventue tour is based on Bray Cut starting from Green Lane and goes south to the River Thames, then return back on the same route. 

The Maidenhead Waterways project plans to restore and enlarge the neglected town centre channels in Maidenhead into an accessible waterway that everyone can enjoy. Bray Cut is part of this waterway system, although it is up to 15m wide in parts it is largely hidden and inaccessible, although it is hoped to improve this channel in the long term for canoeists it is already navigable today. 

This “adventure” tour gives people the opportunity to see the potential for this area first hand, on the tour you will be unlikely to see anyone else apart from the members of your group, and at times you won't even be able to see them! for example you will have to navigate through some areas that are less than 2 metres wide. 

This tour will appeal to individuals and families who like a bit of an adventure and do not mind getting their feet wet!

 

50% of all proceeds from this tour are being donated to Maidenhead Waterways to help with the restoration project.
